Professional Inspection Services
At Gatekeeper Inspection Services, every inspection we perform, whether it’s for buyers, pre-listing, or home maintenance, follows the same comprehensive guidelines and examines the same systems of the house. The primary difference lies in the purpose of the inspection, whether you’re preparing to sell, looking to buy, or simply wanting to understand your home’s condition. Regardless of the inspection type, we use a consistent procedure to ensure thorough and reliable results. We represent you, the client, with impartial observations, empowering you to make informed decisions based on clear, unbiased information.
Buyer's Inspection
A buyer’s inspection is an examination of a property’s condition conducted for the buyer, prior to completing the purchase. Buying a home is a major investment. To avoid unexpected and costly repairs, a detailed home inspection is essential. Our inspection report will provide you with a clear understanding of the property’s condition, helping you make an informed decision about your potential investment.
Pre-listing Inspection
A pre-listing inspection is an examination of a property’s condition conducted for the seller before listing the house for sale. To enhance their property’s appeal, some homeowners choose to address issues before putting their house on the market. This inspection allows sellers to proactively identify and resolve potential issues. However, most buyers will still conduct their own inspection to evaluate the house based on their own criteria, even if the seller has had a prior inspection completed.
Maintenance Inspection
At Gatekeeper Inspection Services, we specialize in Maintenance Home Inspections. We evaluate the overall condition of the house, identify areas needing repair or upkeep, and help homeowners understand their home’s maintenance needs to ensure it remains in optimal condition. This strategic approach not only prevents minor issues from becoming major problems but also helps maintain the property’s value and functionality over time, offering peace of mind and long-term savings.
Radon Inspections
A residential radon test measures the concentration of radon gas in the indoor air. This test helps determine if radon levels exceed safe limits recommended by health agencies. Radon is a colorless, odorless gas that is highly carcinogenic and is recognized by the EPA as a leading cause of lung cancer. Due to these health risks, regular radon testing is important for both homeowners and prospective buyers to ensure a safe living environment and make informed decisions.
Drone Inspections
A drone inspection captures high-resolution aerial images and videos of a property, providing a birds eye view of areas that are difficult to access or view from the ground. Homeowners may use drone inspections to evaluate roofs, chimneys, and high elevations, as well as document conditions before making significant changes or filing insurance claims. This service is also used by listing agents for real estate photography, offering striking aerial perspectives and unique angles to effectively showcase the property.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a home inspection?
A home inspection is a visual, non-invasive evaluation of the readily accessible components and systems of a residential property. This inspection aims to identify any material defects or deficiencies in the structure, systems, and components. The goal is to provide an overview of the property’s condition to assist owners or buyers in making informed decisions. The inspection is conducted in accordance with the Standards of Practice established by the New Jersey Department of Consumer Affairs.
How much does a home inspection cost?
The cost will vary based on the square footage, age, and location of the property. Call, text, or email us for a quote today!
How long does a home inspection take?
Home inspections generally take 2 to 4 hours to complete. The duration of a home inspection depends on many factors such as the size of the home, the condition of the home, and the ability to access certain areas of the home (roof, crawl space, attic, etc.).
Should I attend the inspection?
Although it is not necessary, we do recommend that you attend the inspection so you can ask questions and learn more about the home. You will learn a lot from the inspection report, but we always encourage you to attend!
What if the inspection report reveals problems?
It is important to note that no property is perfect, and this inspection does not determine a pass or fail status. At the end of the home inspection process, we will provide a detailed report that describes the physical condition of the property, with images highlighting what may need repair or replacement. In your report, we will document our observations, explain the implications of any material defects, and recommend clear and actionable steps to address them.
